Suffolk Sight is the sight-loss charity for Suffolk.
Our purpose is to improve the lives of people affected by sight loss, throughout Suffolk.
We work hard to provide services that are friendly and practical, and to raise awareness of the different aspects of living with sight loss. Our dedicated team are here to offer support, advice and guidance based on your individual sight loss needs. We will work closely with you for as long as you need, offering ideas and solutions to help with confidence and independence.
What can Suffolk Sight offer you?
Whether you’re new to Suffolk Sight, or have accessed our services for many years, our team are on hand to support you with the different aspects of living with a visual impairment.
Membership of Suffolk Sight is free and gives you access to all of the services we provide.
Suffolk Sight Equipment and Information Day

Come along and try the latest equipment and technology designed to support people with sight loss.
Featuring leading suppliers: Humanware, VisionAid and Edward Marcus Ltd
Support and advice from: Newmedica, Sensing Change, Blind Veterans UK, Sound On (Ipswich & District Talking Newspaper), Suffolk Guide Dog and VI Forum and the East Anglian Sailing Trust

Outreach across the county
We’re delighted to offer monthly drop-in sessions with our community sight loss advisors, at various locations across the county.
Our team will be available to give personalised advice and support including:
Daily living and independence – aids and adaptations
Low vision – magnification and assistive reading (with referrals to our low-vision specialist where appropriate)
Financial matters – benefits, grants and concessions
Tech solutions – gadget advice and demonstrations
Social opportunities and befriending service
Advice about services that can help you get out and about safely
