We know that living with sight loss or a visual impairment can sometimes be a lonely experience and you can feel detached and remote from the rest of the world. 

Our registered befrienders are DBS checked, and carefully matched with you to make regular phone calls or visits to offer friendship and support. Befriending aims to help lessen feelings of loneliness and isolation and keep people connected. 

We also encourage our members to volunteer as befrienders themselves, so get in touch if this is something that might interest you.
